Phire Free

Phire Free is the founder of Free Your Phire, LLC where she is a Life Coach and Consultant. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Women’s studies from Central Michigan University (CMU).  As a poet she coordinated Cypher Thursdays and has also been a feature poet for Western Michigan University's Suicide Prevention Awareness Program and for Catholic Charities of Kalamazoo Youth Advisory Board. During that period of time, she earned her Masters of Arts degree from Western Michigan University (WMU) while acting as Secretary for Kalamazoo's Urban Empowerment a Multicultural Literacy program.

She also raised awareness about political issues affecting citizens of color and the homeless by working with other local organizers to start Kalamazoo 4 Justice.  In 2016, she founded Greater Charlotte RISE a Charlotte non-profit organization focused on raising awareness and building equity in Charlotte, NC, officially established with her partner Jasmine Sherman in 2018, when she was a spokesperson for the Women’s March on Charlotte in North Carolina.  She has continued to work on advancing her community since.  

She has spoken and presented on:   1)Coping with stress 2)Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Trauma 3) Mental Wellness 4) Writing as expression, and 5) Working through difficult relationships.
