Elizabeth S. Murrar is a bilingual (Spanish/English) attorney in the Milwaukee immigration law firm, Murrar, Oulahan, Rivas & Hochstatter, LLC. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Hebrew Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and a J.D. from Marquette University Law School cum laude. Throughout law school, Elizabeth interned at Catholic Charities – Legal Services for Immigrants, serving Milwaukee’s low-means immigrant community. Upon graduating from law school in 2010, she ran her own solo immigration law practice for 8 years before forming the partnership for which presently works. Elizabeth primarily works with clients seeking humanitarian forms of immigration relief, family-based relief, and defense from deportation. In addition, Elizabeth often provides ongoing consultation with criminal defense attorneys representing non-citizens in criminal proceedings. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), national and Wisconsin chapters. She is the former Chair of the Wisconsin AILA Chapter. Elizabeth is a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association, ASISTA (a national network of humanitarian-based immigration relief assistance providers), the American Constitution Society, and the Association for Women Lawyers. She has presented on immigration for various local and national bar associations, professional associations, and community groups.
